German flashcards with spaced repetition
Spaced repetition brings back each word right before you would forget it.
The deck holds every word in the course — more than a thousand from A1 to C1 — each stored with its article, its plural and an example sentence.
How the scheduling works
Grade each card Again, Hard, Good or Easy. Again brings it back within the minute, Hard in about ten minutes, Good after a day, Easy after four — and every time you get it right the gap widens. Words you find difficult come round constantly; words you know drift out to weeks and then months, so your study time lands where it is actually needed instead of on vocabulary you already own.
Filling the deck
A new deck is empty, because it only holds words you have graded at least once. Add a set of twenty new words from any level, or study a vocabulary lesson in the course, and they enter the schedule from there. Roughly 200 words per level means about seven months before any word repeats.
